PROJECT OVERVIEW

This ad campaign was created for G​TFO Counseling​, a company that offers a nonchalant counseling service. The campaign targets a young adult audience, people between the ages of 18-25. A study done by the American Psychological Association, in which 1,000 people were surveyed, found that 30% of respondents were concerned about others finding out if they sought medical treatment and 20% said the stigma surrounding therapy was an important reason to not seek help. This ad campaign will communicate to a younger demographic through the use of a nonchalant attitude and humorous tone. The easygoing nature of these ads are expected to attract young adults that wouldn’t normally open up to the idea of therapy because of the stigma. The design elements will be minimalistic and include the use of humorous characters to lighten the mood and stigma surrounding therapy. Social media and billboard ads will be the best way to reach a younger audience. This campaign will differentiate the company from other competitors through the laidback tone; the usual strategy is to display imagery of depressed clients and happy, helpful doctors.
